California Contractor’s License Bond Amount to Increase to $15,000

Effective January 1, 2016, the Contractors State License Board will be increasing the Contractor’s license Bond amount from $12,500 to $15,000 as per Senate Bill 467.

Expect to receive notices from your bonding companies regarding the increase in rate.

C-22 Classification, Asbestos Abatement

In addition to the Asbestos Certification that is still available for contractors, the CSLB has introduced a new classification C-22 Asbestos Abatement that allows you to perform the work.

Experience Verification Seminar

The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) recently held a seminar on how they verify applicants’ work experience. Applicants may now be required to send in documentation proof as part of the Board’s application process.
